First Thainstone Online sale of the year sees high demand from buyers

Leading auctioneering company, Thainstone Specialist Auctions (a division of ANM Group) held their first live online sale of plant, equipment, machinery, and commercial vehicles of the year at Thainstone Centre on Wednesday 20th January.
The live online auction, featuring an entry of more than 700 lots, saw a strong sales rate of 85%.
Mark Barrack, Head of Thainstone Specialist Auctions, said: “We’re pleased with our first online sale of the year. Despite tighter entry numbers as typical for this time of year, the top prices achieved reflect the current market and show continued buyer demand.
The top selling lots included a 1995 CAT D6H Bulldozer which sold for £22,500 from the Tractors, Telehandlers & Plant Equipment category, followed by a 2000 Cat 953C Drott also from this section. The Small Plant section saw a Toro EM4000D Bat Wing Mower achieve £14,500 and a Marshall 12+ Monocoque Trailer sold for £4,600 in the Implements & Machinery category. Within the Light Commercials and 4×4 section a 2009 Land Rover Defender 110 Country Double Cab reached £10,000 and the Heavy Commercials category saw a 2013 Mercedes Benz Econic Refuse Lorry sell for £3,000. Lastly the Trailers & Containers category achieved the top price of £3,500 with the sale of an IW Horsebox.
